For new sod, please follow the following guidelines:

1.  Keep the new sod watered giving it approximately 1″ of water.  Do not let it dry out, so water approximately 2-3 times a day depending on the weather, beginning right after installation.  Play close attention to the outer edge of the sod area.
2. Keep foot traffic off new sod until roots have established.
3. Fertilize your new sod as soon as possible using a 16-16-16 to start with.
4. Once the sod has established roots, approximately ? weeks, it may be mowed with a sharp blade.  Remove the top 1/3″ of the grass blade.
5. Begin regular maintenance and enjoy your new lawn.
